Retired NBA star and current TV commentator Charles Barkley was arrested outside Phoenix early Wednesday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, the Associated Press reports. Police pulled Barkley over after he ran a stop sign around 1:30 a.m. and was administered a field sobriety test, which he failed, after officers smelled alcohol, the news service says. Barkley was arrested, cited and later released, with blood test results still pending, the AP says.
