Tribune’s recent filing for bankruptcy and the way the media company resolves TV station debts with studios could set a precedent for the handling of future potential debt matters with other companies, Broadcasting & Cable reports. According to the filings, Tribune owes Warner Bros. $23.7 million, Twentieth Television $8.1 million, Disney-ABC $6.2 million and NBC Universal $4.9 million for syndicated shows, the trade says. Katz Television Group Programming programming VP Bill Carroll said, “Whatever the studios do for Tribune, they will have to do for everyone else,” according to B&C.
