Tuesday and Wednesday night airings of “American Idol” received the most DVR playback in terms of viewers, Daily Variety reports, citing Nielsen Media Research year-end lists. Tuesday night performance shows averaged 2.15 million more viewers under live-plus-seven viewing, while Wednesday night results shows added 1.95 million more, the trade says. Sci-fi shows “Heroes” (1.83 million) and “Lost” (1.79 million) also showed high gains for broadcast TV shows, while “Battlestar Galactica” topped the list among cable shows, Variety says.
