Actor Raul Esparza told an audience after a Sunday performance of the Broadway show of Speed-the-Plow,” which actor Jeremy Piven quit after claiming to have mercury poisoning, “I’m sure you’ve read the headlines about the silliness in our show … Today was the first time I really enjoyed playing this show,” the New York Daily News reports, citing Fox News. After Piven’s departure, the show’s gross fell to $326,559, down almost $160,000 from the previous week, the Associated Press says.
