Seacrest, Scope in New Year’s Kiss and Sell

Dec 29, 2008  •  Post A Comment

Procter & Gamble and Ryan Seacrest agreed to a promotion in which the consumer-goods company and maker of Scope mouthwash will make a donation to the Operation Smile children’s charity for each time a couple is caught kissing on Scope’s “Kiss Cam” during the Seacrest-hosted “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” countdown on ABC, Brandweek reports. Scope will also run six ads during the ABC New Year’s show while being promoted this week on Seacrest’s radio show, Brandweek says.

  1. Why name it “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ Eve” if Ryan Seacrest is hosting? The whole point was that Dick Clark was hosting and producing the show.
I’m also tired of seeing and hearing about Ryan… just like Britney and Paris… along with Lindsy and Sam! Force him back to Clear Channel Radio… or “CityCasters” radio group (via KIIS-FM/KIIS Prod Studio).
Basically, he should stick to what he knows and quit being a “fame-whore,” who can’t get enough camera time. I’m sick of seeing and hearing about him.
Maybe SCOPE needs a boycott! Makes me wish “Listemint” was still around!
