Two wealthy Bostonians—Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos Inc. founder Jack Connors and Boston Herald publisher Pat Purcell—said they aren’t interested in buying the New York Times’ stake in the Red Sox, the New York Post reports. “I’m not buying anything that the New York Times owns,” Connors told the Boston Globe. The shares of the New York Times dropped almost 12% Monday before closing slightly higher.
