Major Garrett has been named senior White House correspondent for Fox News, TVNewser reports. Garrett followed President-elect Barack Obama on the campaign trail throughout the 2008 election, and his appointment marks the only Washington, D.C., change at the network as of now, the site says. Former White House correspondent Bret Baier began anchoring the network’s “Special Report” last week, TVNewser adds.
