Samsung unveiled flat-screen televisions using LED backlighting, instead of fluorescent light, at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show, the Los Angeles Times reports. By using LED, Samsung will be able to make TVs that are more environmentally friendly and are as little as an inch thick, the newspaper says.
