Comcast said demand for the Web-advertising cooperative Canoe Ventures, which includes smaller cable companies Time Warner Cable and Cablevision, has stayed strong in spite of the economic downturn, Advertising Week reports. While Canoe’s earnings contribution to its investors won’t be substantial this year, the partners will still continue to fund the coalition, AdWeek says, citing Comcast Chief Operating Officer Steve Burke.
