Comcast, TWC Eye Putting Shows Online

Comcast and Time Warner Cable are talking to major programmers about offering a service that would makes television shows available online to cable subscribers, the Wall Street Journal reports. The operators are talking with Viacom, Time Warner and NBC Universal, the paper says. The service would compete with Web video services such as Hulu, and could give cable companies an edge over satellite providers, analysts said.
