Walt Disney Co., whose princesses are popular with little girls, is launching Disney XD, a brand aimed at six to 14-year-old boys, the New York Times reports. “We realized that a true headquarters for boys has been missing from the marketplace,” Anne Sweeney, co-chairwoman of Disney’s Media Networks division, tells the paper. “There is a huge opportunity here to super-serve boys the way that Disney Channel has girls.”
