A commercial for Doritos featuring guys using a crystal ball in some unusual ways took the top score in USA Today’s annual Super Bowl Ad Meter competition. The low score was racked up by a spot for Vizio televisions. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal found spots from Monster.com and Doritos were most popular with the admen it surveyed.

For the first time in recent memory, this years selection of commercials were rather “Ho Hum”. For the most part they were unimaginitive and uninspired. Even the Doritos spots were filled with Frat Boy/Locker room humor and not appealing to a broad range demographic. If ever a year grades out at an yawnble score of 5/10, this was the year.
