ESPN is sticking with a global marketing campaign that includes New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez, who acknowledged that he has used steroids, Multichannel News reports. The campaign, with the tagline “National pastime. International stars,” is set to start on Valentine’s Day to promote ESPN and ESPN2’s coverage of the World Baseball Classic, which debuts March 5, the trade paper says. The spots were filmed before Rodriguez disclosed his steroid use, an ESPN spokeswoman told Multichannel.
