HBO Buys Financial Crisis Book

HBO has acquired rights to a book about the financial crisis that was recently sold for seven figures to Penguin imprint by Portfolio publisher Adrian Zackheim, Daily Variety reports. The book will be written by New York Times business writer Joe Nocera and Vanity Fair writer Bethany McLean, and HBO plans to create a character-driven story that explains how the crisis started, the publication says.
