HBO’s “John Adams” won the Costume Designers Guild Awards for TV movie/minseries, while ABC’s “Ugly Betty” won in the contemporary TV series category for the third year in a row, the Hollywood Reporter says. AMC’s “Mad Men” picked up its first award from the group, winning in the period/fantasy TV series group, the trade paper says.
