Murdoch’s Daughter Says No to Board

Elisabeth Murdoch, daughter of News Corp. Chief Executive Officer Rupert Murdoch, declined an invitation to join the company’s board because of a conflict of interest, Fortune reports, citing unidentified people familiar with the process. Ms. Murdoch would be required to leave ShineReveille, the U.K.-based production company’s she’s helped grow, in order to join the board of News Corp., which owns U.K. satellite service British Sky Broadcasting, the magazine says.
