Nick Takes a Page from Disney

Feb 24, 2009  •  Post A Comment

Nickelodeon President Cyma Zarghami is taking a page from the Disney Channel’s playbook, the New York Times says. Next month it will debut “Penguins of Madagascar,” an animated series with some characters from the “Madagascar” movies, which was brought to Nickelodeon by DreamWorks Animation CEO and former Disney Studios chief Jeffrey Katzenberg, the newspaper says. And more directly, Nick is trying to create its own “High School Musical” with its high school choir show “Spectacular,” the Times says.
