Simon & Schuster’s Atria Books has acquired the rights to a memoir by Patrick Swayze, Crain’s New York Business reports. Swayze will write the book with his wife, Lisa Niemi, about the days before and after he learned he had pancreatic cancer, the trade says. The deal is said to be worth more than $1 million based on initial values when the book was shopped around last month, Crain’s New York says.
