CNBC declined to comment on a long segment blasting the network on Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” that came after CNBC reporter Rick Santelli stood up Jon Stewart, the Associated Press reports. Stewart ridiculed the business news channel by aired clips of a series of optimistic reports by CNBC as the economy headed downward, the wire service says.

  1. CNBC has been a joke for more than 10 years, and is only getting worse. Though it plays on trading floors and in offices throughout the financial world, there’s a reason the audio is kept muted. There is nothing that comes out of the anchors’ mouths that is worth hearing. Literally nothing.

  2. I don’t think CNBC needs to say anything. Jon Stewart and Nikki Finke said more than enough.

  3. CNBC’s the best. Santelli, Kudlow, Burnett, Haynes, Faber, Power Lunch. They know their stuff. I like that they challenge the norm and that their loyalty is to understanding the market, regardless of political persuasion.
