CNBC reporter Rick Santelli on Monday published a long blog post that denied any connection with “tea party movements that have popped up” since he made on-air suggestions for a “Chicago Tea Party” to protest a housing plan from President Obama, the New York Times reports. Some “tea party” protests have been organized since his comments, while other bloggers have questioned whether he was working with conservative groups, the newspaper says.
