Walt Disney Co. is introducing D23, a new Web portal that offers access to an assortment of news, online entertainment and other features to subscribers for an annual fee of about $75, the Wall Street Journal reports. The site is intended to replace unofficial Disney Web sites and the company’s official voice on the Internet. Meanwhile, Disney shareholders defeated two executive compensation proposals, the Los Angeles Times says.

  1. Only Disney, in an incredible display of greed and arrogance, would try to launch a fee based web site. In these trying economic times, leave it to Disney Corp. to stick it to the consumer. Good luck with that, Dinsey.
