Chris Matthews of MSNBC’s “Hardball” has signed a new long-term contract with the cable network, the New York Times reports. Matthews will be around through the next presidential election, but financial terms were not disclosed. “Whether he took a slight cut or got a slight raise, it’s nobody’s business,” one executive involved in the negotiations tells the paper.
