Mobile Ad Firms Combine

SmartReply, a company that designs telephone and email marketing programs for retailers, agreed to acquire mSnap, a mobile ad firm, the Wall Street Journal reports. Marketers have been slow to shift spending to mobile advertising, and mobile ad companies have been laying off employees, closing offices and trying to sell themselves, the paper says.
