NBA TV is working with Comcast to move off the cable operator’s digital sports tier to digital basic, the Sports Business Journal reports. Under the deal, which has yet to be signed, NBA TV would join MLB Network on Comcast’s digital basic package by the start of the next season, the Journal says. Although neither company commented on the deal, the Sports Business Journal says that the NBA was able to score the deal by tying its NBA League Pass option with better carriage.
