NTIA Has More Money for DTV Vouchers

Mar 4, 2009  •  Post A Comment

The National Telecommunications and Information Administration has more money to help resolve the backlog of DTV converter box coupons, Broadcasting & Cable reports, citing new information from the Office of Management and Budget. Part of President Barack Obama’s recent economic stimulus package set aside $650 million for NTIA to get those vouchers to people still on the waiting list, the trade says. Coupons should start arriving at homes waiting for them starting next week, B&C adds.
