TLC has ordered a series called “Cake Boss” which tracks Hoboken, N.J.-based baker Buddy Valastro as he puts together elaborate wedding and birthday cakes, the Hollywood Reporter says. Valastro’s cakes have been made for celebrities such as Britney Spears and shown on programs including “The Sopranos” and “Today,” the trade paper says. The pilot will air April 19 with the series beginning in June, the Reporter says.
