The top 35 advertising-supported cable networks have increased total viewers by 7% this season, Daily Variety reports, citing a report by Turner Networks. Turner’s research department, citing Nielsen Media Research data, found networks including Fox News, MSNBC and ESPN had large first-quarter, primetime viewer gains, while MTV, Turner’s TruTV, Spike and Lifetime lost viewers, the trade paper says.
