Forbes tries to catch up with Discovery Communications CEO David Zaslav as he meets with Oprah, gets ready for the upfront and relaunches cable networks. Zaslav is spending $15 million to shoot shows in high definition for the domestic and overseas markets, a move Forbes calls a risky bet. Meanwhile, Winfrey made a surprise appearance at Discovery’s upfront presentation in Chicago, TVWeek says.
