American Journalist Roxanna Saberi is facing espionage charges, TVNewser reports. Saberi was detained in Iran earlier this year while working as a freelance reporter. No trial date has been set, but if convicted Saberi could face the death penalty under Iran’s penal code, the site explains. Saberi has previously worked with NPR, Fox News and “The NewsHour With Jim Lehrer,” TVNewser adds.
