Tim Armstrong, the new chief of AOL, said the Internet company’s collection of platforms has gotten cluttered, although he didn’t detail specific plans for reducing them, Advertising Age reports, citing an interview with Armstrong at a 4A’s conference. Armstrong said he didn’t know whether a Bloomberg News report saying Time Warner would announce plans to spin off AOL as early as today was accurate, the trade paper says.
