ESPN has tapped 10 directors to make documentaries to air on the network, the Hollywood Reporter says. “The Kid Stays in the Picture” director Brett Morgen will direct “June 17, 1994,” tracking the day before the O.J. Simpson car chase and seminal sports events took place, while “Friday Night Lights'” Peter Berg will make “#99,” about Wayne Gretzky’s trade to the Los Angeles Kings, the trade paper says.
