HBO to Tap Into ‘Grey Gardens’

HBO is set to air the latest version of “Grey Gardens,” originally a 1975 documentary about the two Edith Beales, the aunt and cousin of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis who lived in a complicated relationship in a crumbling, animal-infested house, the New York Times says. Albert Maysles, who made the documentary with his late brother, served as a consultant on the HBO project, which also looks at the women’s younger lives before they lived together in squalid conditions, the newspaper says.
