‘Morning Joe’ a Friendly Winner

MSNBC is beating CNN in the morning among younger viewers with a show hosted by a registered Republican, former congressman Joe Scarborough, Newsweek notes. Unlike some of his more argumentative competitors, Scarborough takes pains to make sure that after the most heated discussion he remains friends with his on-air guests. “Suffice it to say this ‘everyone is a friend’ approach is not a big trend on cable,” Newsweek observes.

  1. I don’t like Scarborough or his politics but find myself changing the station from CNN just because their morning show is ridiculous. Joe wasn’t there this morning so Morning Joe was exceptional today.

  2. I’m not fond of his political beliefs, but I can respect the guy largely because he’s NOT as abrasive, insulting, paranoid, bigoted, or hateful as many of his right-wing counterparts.
