MTV has tapped DJ AM for a reality show that will feature the celebrity DJ overseeing interventions for young people dealing with addictions, the Hollywood Reporter says. DJ AM last year said he had been abused by his father, was addicted to drugs and had tried suicide, although he’s been sober for about 10 years, the trade paper says. The series, produced by Ish Entertainment and Gigantic Prods., doesn’t have an airdate, the Reporter says.
