On Running News Crawls During Commercials

The New York Times takes a look at networks that run news crawls during their commercial breaks to help keep viewers tuned in. “As long as the information on the screen with the commercial is not overly invasive, it is not going to detract from creative or from the viewers seeing the commercial at the same time,” one advertising executive tells the paper.
