Showtime Passes on ‘Side Effects’

Showtime has decided not to greenlight “Possible Side Effects,” meaning the network has now passed over four pilots, Daily Variety reports. While it’s unclear why Showtime skipped “Side Effects,” created by Tim Robbins, some speculate it may be due to the show’s skeptical look at the pharmaceutical drug industry, which ranks as one of the TV industry’s biggest advertisers, the Hollywood Reporter says.
