Dish Network lost 94,000 subscribers during the first quarter, although profit during the period rose 21%, the Wall Street Journal reports. The company has been hurt by the recession as it targets a lower-end of the customer base with a $9.99 offer, which CEO Charles Ergen said Dish plans to shift away from, the newspaper says.

  1. Good. Their prices should be a LOT more reasonable. If everyone would boycott them until they get a clue, that would be ideal. I have a big dish and even that is getting outrageous. Bring back ala carte! If networks are so lousy that nobody would buy them, then we shouldn’t be forced to buy them in a package. I have to get all kinds of crap just because I want Comedy Central which I used to be able to get for $10/year. Now I’m paying $210/yr. and getting 15 stations I don’t care about and rarely tune into at all.

  2. I truly admire your design. Would it be possible you could contact me with your graphic?
