FX has bought the basic cable rights to “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian,” which was at the top of the box office over Memorial Day weekend, Daily Variety reports. The cable network has signed a four-year movie license deal with 20th Century Fox that calls for a rights fee of about 12% of the film’s domestic sales, with the movie airing on the network starting in November 2011, the trade paper says.
