HBO has ordered David Simon’s “Treme” to series, although the network is still working on the number of episodes to first be produced, Daily Variety reports. “Treme” is set in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and follows residents as they try to rebuild their lives, the trade paper says. “We don’t intend to make ‘The Wire’ twice. This is about people reconstituting their lives after their town was mostly, effectively destroyed,” Simon tells Variety, referring to his previous HBO drama.
