Alison Pill and Sarah Treem were both precocious children, with Pill finding television work at age 10 and Treem winning a writing competition at 12, the New York Times says. After the two met at the Sundance Institute Theater Lab, the two have created a fertile friendship, with Treem writing seven episodes of HBO’s “In Treatment” focusing on Pill’s character, April, the newspaper says. Pill “kept reading the scripts, saying, ‘You’re writing my life,’ and I was like, ‘No, actually, I’m writing my life.” We just hit a perfect storm of personality and art,” Treem tells the publication.
