Epix Signs Deal To License Movies From Samuel Goldwyn Films

The pay TV movie service, Epix, has signed an exclusive output deal with Samuel Goldwyn Films, Multichannel News reports.
 
The deal will cover 20 Samuel Goldwiyn films from 2010 and 2011. According to Epix and Samuel Goldwiyn, the movies will be available through Epix’s subscription and on demand services as well as it’s linear channel and epixhd.com platforms.
 
This announcement trails last weeks announcement for the first output contract for the service between FiOS TV and Epix, which is a joint venture betweem Lionsgate, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, and Viacom’s Paramount Pictures.
 
Epix will launch early in October, however, FiOS customers will start to receive on demand support programming  in September.
