Comedy Central’s Sunday night roast of Joan Rivers drew 2.8 million viewers, a full 32% fewer than its last one in March, which put Larry the Cable Guy in the hot seat, Variety reports.

The winner of “Celebrity Apprentice” had to go up against a Yankees-Red Sox game on ESPN, which was the network’s most-watched baseball game in two years.

  1. Gee ratings drop for a roast for Joan Rivers? Let’s see Bob Saget, Larry The Cable Guy and a personality that no one in Comedy Central’s target demographic, who may not even care or know who Joan Rivers is, what Joan Rivers has done that would connect to them in any way to the reason they turn on CC? Comedy Central took the past and the future, combined them and got what they should have recieved from putting on someone that their viewers don’t know. Not a good move for a really solid show.

  2. Hey, absolutlty love the site and will definatley be coming back in the near future!
