The premiere of Lifetime’s “Project Runway” Thursday set records for both the series and the network.
“Project Runway: All-Star Challenge,” a two-hour special at 8 p.m. that pitted eight fan favorites and “Project Runway” stars against each other, averaged 2.9 million total viewers for a 2.3 household rating and earned a 2.2 rating among women 18 to 49, the network said, citing Nielsen Media Research data.
Following the special at 10 p.m., the “Project Runway” season-five premiere pulled more than 4.2 million total viewers for a 3.3 household rating and a 3.2 rating among women 18 to 49, the highest-rated premiere for the series ever — and in the network’s history.
Finally, the new series “Models of the Runway” made its debut at 11 p.m. with 1.9 total viewers and 1.8 household rating and a 1.4 among women 18 to 49 and a.
