Public-Interest Doc Channel Relaunched as a Commercial Network

The four-year-old Documentary Channel, which started life as a public-interest network supported with underwriting, has relaunched as a commercial service, reports Multichannel News.

The Nashville-based network, which has about 21 million subscribers, signed a multiyear carriage deal with Dish Network and is seeking advertisers for 30-second spots.
