Reality Producers Didn’t Do a Full Background Check on Contestant Wanted for Murder

The company 51 Minds, which produces the VH1 reality series “Megan Wants a Millionaire,” said it didn’t do a full background check on contestant Ryan Jenkins, who is now being sought in the murder of his ex-wife, Jasmine Fiore, TMZ reports.

The company said it wouldn’t have allowed Jenkins to appear on the show if it had known that he had been earlier convicted of assaulting a girlfriend, and that it thought it had in place a “thorough vetting process.”

  1. The current popularity-pre-occupation of today’s “Reality” Shows comes around full-circle to haunt us all…Whether or not the producers had a full background check done on this apparent criminal just adds to the sick picture…stupid shows with nothing more than blatant voyeurisms into superficial lifestyles that are supposedly “desireable”…it’s all something between one and two dimensions…no depth, no substance…real white bread material stuffed with hollow mental carbohydrates…that a sad, sick act occurred leaving a dead victim, was a predictable “reality” to the genre.
