The Sundance Channel will take documentaries and international films to video-on-demand with a new service launching Aug. 26, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Some films will be available the same day as their theatrical release. The service, available initially on Comcast Corp, Cox Communications and Cablevision Systems Corp. systems, will debut with Spike Lee’s new documentary, “Passing Strange: The Movie.”
