Camille Hughes, one of the cast members of Bravo’s “NYC Prep,” isn’t returning to the Nightingale-Bamford school for her senior year, and there’s speculation that her participation in the show is to blame, says Cityfile.
The school wasn’t named in the program, but school officials made clear how unhappy they were with Hughes’ participation. In a letter sent to parents, they explained that the student decided to participate “without consulting Nightingale’s administrators,” adding that they would have counseled her to avoid such a program, which too often renders a “shallow and stereotypical view” of the private school experience.
Hughes has since enrolled at the Professional Children’s School, for child actors, for her senior year, says Cityfile, adding that sources said she was told to make alternate arrangements. A Nightingale official says they had been expecting her back but she decided to enroll elsewhere.
