Actress Leaving ‘Big Love’ Role

Dec 18, 2009  •  Post A Comment

HBO’s "Big Love" will say goodbye to one of its original cast members after the upcoming season, reports TV Guide.

Amanda Seyfried, who has played Bill Paxton’s oldest child since the drama’s premiere in 2006, has decided to move on to other projects.

According to series creator Will Scheffer, Seyfried, who played Meryl Streep’s daughter in the big-screen musical "Mamma Mia!," has been "exploring her movie career for a couple of years now, and we’ve been giving her a lot of room to do that. I know having a commitment to a show for six months definitely cuts into her ability to pursue that career."
