Paul Allen’s name wasn’t on a just-released list of board members of Charter Communications, Multichannel News reports.
The cable company emerged from bankruptcy protection earlier this week. Allen, who helped build the company by using his billions of wealth to make acquisitions, wasn’t listed as chairman in a recent press release; Apollo Management partner Eric Zinterhofer was.
Charter didn’t comment, and a spokesman for Allen’s Vulcan Inc. didn’t return calls for comment, but Multichannel said an executive familiar with the company confirmed the news.
Allen was recently diagnosed by non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
