Lawmakers Join Attack Against MTV over ‘Jersey Shore’

Dec 28, 2009  •  Post A Comment

The New Jersey Italian American Legislative Caucus joined those pressuring MTV to cancel "Jersey Shore," the Associated Press reports.

The caucus, in a letter sent last week to the head of MTV parent Viacom, said the show is “wildly offensive” and promotes ethnic stereotypes, and asked that it be immediately canceled. The lawmakers are also calling for an advertiser boycott.
